IAP Abstract Submission Instructions

Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting your abstract.
Abstracts that do not adhere to the submission guidelines will be disqualified from the review process.
Only those abstracts that have not been published previously will be eligible for consideration.
Original research and systematic reviews are considered for oral presentation.


Abstracts will be published in the Academy’s official journal.

Title
• Write a clear, short title.
• Only the first word and proper nouns should be capitalized.
• Add the study type (e.g., case report, systematic review) after a colon.

Author Information
• List full names, email addresses, and affiliations.
• Use the same name format as in your previous publications (for database consistency).

Affiliations
• List department, faculty, university, city, and country.
• Example for academia:
Department of Periodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran
• Example for private practice:
Private Practice, Tehran, Iran
• Do not add degrees or titles (e.g., Dr., PhD).

Abstract Format
• Structured abstracts (up to 250 words) must include: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
• Unstructured abstracts (up to 150 words) must be one paragraph without headings.
• Clinical trials must include the registration number at the end.

Keywords
• Choose 3 to 6 from the MeSH database.
• List them in alphabetical order.

Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting your abstract
Abstracts that do not adhere to the submission guidelines will be disqualified from the review process.

Post-graduate students of periodontics (up to 1 year after graduation) and undergraduate students are allowed to participate in the tournament.
Participants can register individually or in groups.
Each person can simultaneously submit an abstract for an oral, case, and poster presentation.
For a topic that is not the result of the individual’s own work, a summary of at least 5 relevant and new articles is required.
